Digital Animation Exhibition
Public Lecture Series

Along with the exhibits, *scape and Egg Story Digital Arts School will conduct a series of lectures and workshops aimed at educating young career seekers in digital animation and visual effects. The lectures and workshops are conducted by our lecturers, industry partners, and friends.

Apart from the lecturers, during each event, students may bring their character designs or portfolio to the exhibition venue to have a discussion with our lecturers. Find out directly from our students on how they produce their works.

Come hear from a Singaporean legend that broke into the much closed industry of filmmaking magic! Nickson will share his experience on his entry into Hollywood and his work on major motion pictures in the US.

“What's Really Going On?”
Want to find out what life is like in a digital media production studio? Borko will talk about what “really” goes on in a real production environment. Borko will share his experience of what is the industry’s expectation for a fresh graduate, what are the necessary skill-sets needed, and the attitude for a career in the digital animation industry.

“Moving Between The Frames”
Animation has come a long way from classical animation to our current digital age. This lecture will bring the audience through the production pipeline from “Pre-production” through to the various production stages. Considering the size of the industry from a Hollywood perspective, how films are made today, and where traditional skills facilitate and improve the increasingly digital workflow, Roy will share on how the animation industry has evolved through his 40 year experience.

Today's 3D computer animated movies conttribute to our culture and visual vocabulary, yet they are deeply rooted in classical animation. For generations people grew up viewing animations. Lucy shares on where they came from and who were the first to create them. For fans and creators of animation alike, Lucy takes a walk through time and examines the history and milestones of animation.
